Who We Are?

Derby Mosque and Islamic Centre (DMIC) Inc. was founded with the goal of promoting social inclusion, community development, and empowering the community to work towards self-sufficiency. Our objective is to address issues such as low self-esteem, bullying, promoting the importance of education, combating inequity, eliminating substance misuse, and promoting a safe and healthy lifestyle in our community. Our mission is to foster an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding in our multicultural society and to instil proper Islamic principles in our daily lives.

The core activity of our association is to convey the accurate message of Islam and beautify the multicultural diversity in Australia. The live in this world and hereafter of Muslim community is based on Islamic teaching in the Holy Qur’an, Surah Baqarah 2:143 “Thus we have appointed you a middle nation.”.

DMIC services include a variety of activities for our youngsters and elderly, all of which are staffed entirely by volunteers from our membership. Our youth, supportive parents, and those who benefit from our activities, events, and initiatives come from all areas of life in Western Australia
